Welcome to the website of Stonelaw Church, Rutherglen!

Alistair MayWe are a lively, friendly Church of Scotland congregation, which plays an important role in our local community. As a member of Stonelaw, or a visitor, we hope you will find our site helpful.

Welcome from the Minister

'A very warm welcome to our church. As part of Christ's church in Rutherglen, our aim in Stonelaw is to worship and serve the Lord Jesus Christ together. Our hope would be that, as you come among us, you might find here Christian friendship and a place where you might share and grow in that worship and service. If I can help in any way, please don't hesitate to get in touch.'

NEW! Midweek Services

Why should services only be for Sundays?

Sunday mornings and evenings are the usual times when we gather for services (midweek meetings have taken other forms) but there's no reason it always has to be this way.

Since 12th February, we have been running short services on Tuesday mornings. This is an opportunity for people who have been unable to attend on Sunday (holiday, work, illness) or simply want worship, perhaps again, at another time.

We'll hold the services from 11:00 am (till 11:45 at the latest) in the church transept. You can enter through the main door of the church, where the Fairtrade shop will be running (and serving coffee) from 10:30 until 12:30.

The services will use the same Bible passages as the preceding Sunday - with prayer, readings, worship, and a sermon recap. This is experimental - we don't yet know how it will turn out.

Are you free on a Tuesday? Then come and worship with us at 11am!
